Celebpics
is a celebrity and model themed channel. Cybersex, software
distribution (warez), password distribution, full length movies or
MP3 distribution are not permitted in the channel under any
circumstances. If you wish to participate in any such activities you
will need to find alternative channels to do so. Any form of Internet
war related activities will not be tolerated in any way. Activities
such port scanning, Trojan scanning or Denial of Service attacks will
result in an immediate response by channel operators (which may
include contacting your Internet Service Provider with evidence of
your actions).
All files that are shared within #Celebpics
are provided completely free. There are no cost or ratio demands
associated with any file distribution. There is no demand for any
return uploads on completion of downloads. Users are simply expected
to help each other out and send files to others who are requesting
files (if it is possible for them do so).
User Age Requirement
Celebpics is an adult based channel and you must be aged 18 or above to be a guest. If you are in a teen chat channel, you may be suspected of being under 18 and appropriate action will be exercised by the operators. It is asked that you leave teen related channels while in ours. We are serious about keeping out minors so if you are suspected of being underage you stand a good chance of being kicked and banned.
Channel Conversation
Friendly chat is highly encouraged in the channel at all times. #Celebpics is a chat room, not just a file distribution source. There are many users who are far more interested in the chat than the files, so please feel welcome to sit back, relax and chat up a storm with others from around the world. #Celebpics is primarily an English speaking channel and as a courtesy to others and for purposes of standardization and fairness it asked that you keep all open channel discussion in English. We understand that English is not the first language for many people; however, we ask that you make your best effort to converse in English in the main channel.
There are a wide variety of Internet translators available that you may find beneficial if you feel your English is weak. Furthermore, you are of course free to speak any other language you wish with users in any available form of private communication.
Whilst communicating with others, please keep your chat polite. This means that discussions of an abusive, offensive or threatening nature will not be tolerated. This includes issues such as prejudicial comments regarding race, gender or sexual preference. Furthermore, the channel ops of #celebpics ask that you keep the language clean as far as possible (occasional slips happen, but constant foul language will not be tolerated). As this is an adult channel, it is felt that there should be enough maturity in the users that foul language can be avoided (especially as it may be offensive to some people).
Any verbal attacks (in any context) towards the channel or any of its users (present or otherwise) will not be tolerated by channel operators (and may result in the contacting of your Internet Service Provider regarding such actions as most ISP's do not permit this type of activity as stipulated in their Acceptable User Policy agreements).
We ask that you treat others as you would wish to be treated.
Finally, the ops of #celebpics ask that you use common sense when raising topics of discussion. Avoid using subjects that may invoke arguments or that could easily upset people. We love chat about anything and everything but we do not enjoy having discussions that become heated arguments. Therefore, topics such as war, politics, religion, etc. should often be avoided in general discussion. #Celebpics is about having fun, and arguments are not fun, so they are not welcomed by the channel operators. If you appear to be purposely trying to initiate such activity the channel operators will take swift and immediate action to avert any such plans and deal with you as they feel fit.
The
following materials are not permitted in #celebpics under any
context: child pornography (kiddie porn), animal sex (beastiality),
sexual penetration (XXX) or anything that could be considered
illegal-incest, teenage sex, or rape. If you see any user sharing or
distributing such materials in any way please inform a channel
operator immediately.
Furthermore, #Celebpics will not allow
co-channeling with any channels that permit child pornography, animal
sex or any of the aforementioned illegal categories (co-channeling
refers to being in any such channel while also being in #celebpics).
There is zero tolerance for such activity and swift action
will be taken by channel operators. Monitoring may be undertaken both
as users enter the channel and through routine scanning.
Celebpics
will not tolerate known fakes. All materials must be authentic in
nature. Please report any violations to a channel operator if you
become aware of any user distributing such materials. If ever in
doubt about the authenticity of a file please ask a channel operator
to review it.
Any celebrities appearing in any files
distributed in #celebpics must be of at least 16 years of age. Images
of celebrities who are either 16 or 17 years of age may only be
distributed so long as they appear in a non-nude and non-exploitative
manner-materials from mainstream magazines, television, and/or cinema
should for the most part be acceptable. If there is any doubt about
any material please have a channel operator review it.
Celebpics
requests that you only make requests in the open channel (doing so in
private communications is both bothersome to individuals and reduces
your chances of having your request fulfilled). It is also considered
bad IRC etiquette to message people without their permission first.
We ask that you make your requests in a polite and not too extreme
manner (please do not be abusive with colored, bold or italic text or
capital lettering). Furthermore, politeness can go a long way.
Remember that the people providing the pictures are doing so at their
expense for your favor.
Please refrain from using automated
scripts for your requesting/receiving ventures. This means that you
will need to turn off any auto-Thank You scripts or timers that are
created for the sole purpose of requesting files. It is also
requested that you keep any repeated requests separated by at least
10 minutes intervals.
Finally, if you are feeling frustrated
by not getting any responses to your requests then here are a few
things to keep in mind:

1) Try using the "looking for" search command. Simply type: looking for name - example: looking for Britney Spears. Though only some people with pictures actually support this, it may serve as a useful starting point (and please remember to use only looking for, other search features are either 1) not supported at all or 2) supported by even fewer people - any ! or @ search commands are definitely not supported). |

2) Though you see a large list of names in the channel, people are often not actively watching their computer screens (they may be offering pictures but be asleep, at work, with family & friends, etc.). |

3) The users currently in the channel may not have the files you are requesting. Not everyone who can or does offer files is around 24/7, so sometimes it might be beneficial to try at different times of day and different days of the week as the user that may have the file(s) you want could be online at a different time (this is especially true of less mainstream celebrities and models). |

4) You are experiencing a large lag. This means that after you have typed something on your end; it takes a long time for your message to be relayed to all the other users (this is usually because of server problems). |
You can check your lag time by typing !ping in the open channel (or if you are having trouble getting files from a specific user then type /ctcp nickname ping (replace nickname with the user's nickname) and that will give you the lag to that specific person). If this is the case, the best way to try and overcome this is to switch UnderNet servers.
Anything
to be advertised in the channel in any context must be first approved
by a channel operator. This includes any file servers (fservers),
single/series file offers, FTPs, or URLs. The approval is merely a
quality check of the materials to ensure that they meet all quality
standards for #celebpics. On Join messages may only be used by
channel operators. Any unauthorized use of on-join messages will
result in the channel operators taking any necessary actions to
resolve the matter.
Advertising
here is meant as a broad term that includes purposely displaying
information for files, FTPs, URLs, other channels, etc. Therefore, be
aware of what you are displaying before you display it to the open
channel, and if in doubt ask a channel operator first.
After
your advertisement has been approved and you are ready to begin
advertising, please ensure that you also meet the following
guidelines. If you are advertising a static offer (just one single
offer over and over) please keep the timer for advertising set at a
minimum of 10 minutes (600 seconds). However, if you are using a
dynamic set of offers (a group of constantly changing
advertisements), you may set your timer to 5 minutes (300 seconds),
but please no lower then that.
Do Not
use excessive colours (bright colors and highlighted
text),Bold Text, Foul Language. Also you may be requested to change an offer by an op for any reason.
Using
colors in your offers and general conversation is permitted. All that
is asked is that it is done so in a reasonable manner (please avoid
using bright colors and highlighting). Overuse and/or abuse of colors
are not appreciated and will result in some negative responses
towards you by both general users and channel operators. It is asked
that you make file requests without the use of colors. This is
especially beneficial because using colors in requests will likely
result in those requests becoming lost amongst advertisements.
Playing sounds (WAV files) is permitted but again only within
a reasonable context. Overuse and/or abuse of sounds is a great
nuisance to the channel and will most commonly result in negative
responses towards you by channel users and channel operators.
Offensive nicknames and/or idents are not welcome in #celebpics. Please avoid using swear words, hate words, racial slurs or anything else that could be interpreted as offensive (even if it is not explicitly offensive to you).
The biggest and most important rule of all is...HAVE FUN!
If you do not like, or you disagree with our rules, then please do no bother staying as you will not enjoy yourself. Arguing about the rules will not get you anywhere and if you insist on questioning them then you will likely find yourself kicked and banned.
These guidelines are in place for a reason so please obey them.
